“Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.'” ~Genesis 2:18

All throughout the story of the creation, each time God would finish another part of our world, he reflected on his work and “saw that it was good.” When he created man, he saw that his creation was very good. His creation was excellent…until his first negative assessment comes in the above-referenced verse. For man to be alone was not good in God’s eyes. Some women’s take on the idea of being man’s helper is negative. They believe that this idea paints a picture that woman is inferior to man. I must say that I absolutely disagree with that interpretation of the creation of woman. To me, a “not good” assessment of Adam’s situation says that God saw that man was incomplete…
