>I have always been on to make a whole list of New Year’s resolutions. After years and years of not keeping those resolutions, I decided to try something different this year – so as to not let myself down again. This year, I decided to choose one word as my “resolution.” The word I chose is “listen.” I have decided to focus on this word in every aspect of my life in order to change for the better. I resolve to listen more as a teacher – to really interact with my students. I resolve to listen more to what God is telling me and directing me to do. I want to listen more to my children…to be make sure they know that they can always come to me. I want to listen more in all of my relationships – not just talk – but also listen. So while this may not be a typical way to make a resolution, I do think that it will help me to continue to grow into the person I want to be…to grow into the best version of myself.
